Construction Begins on Missouri Place,
An Affordable Community, in LA

Withee Malcolm Architects joined developer Thomas Safran Associates, city leaders, including Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilman Mike Bonin and members of the community for the groundbreaking at Missouri Place. The Mayor’s presence and comments underscored the critical importance of building this type of new affordable housing in Los Angeles.

Located at the corner of Missouri and Bundy in West Los Angeles, the 100% affordable community includes 74, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, 60% of which are reserved for the formerly homeless. Community space with supportive services, a roof deck garden and a podium-level courtyard provide inviting open space for residents. The Bundy stop on the Metro Expo line is a short walk from the development.
