Withee Malcolm Architects’ Bella Vita won Gold in the Best of 55+ Housing’s Affordable Community category at the awards program, which was held during the 2020 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Jan. 21. NAHB’s 55+ Housing Council launched the Best of 55+ Housing Awards to encourage quality and innovation in the 55+ housing market. The awards honor builders and developers who create homes and communities that suit the specific needs of the mature buyer and renter.
Bella Vita is a mixed-use development offering 65 senior residential apartment homes. The community offers 58 one-bedroom apartments and 7 two-bedroom apartments ranging from 620-740 sf. The property includes 3,000 sf of commercial space. With over 20,000 sf of common areas, residents have access to a community room, community garden, outdoor seating, theater area, podium gardens, and a park area.
